“We launched the operation in Mindat and Falam on November 9. Since then, we have maintained control of the towns and are now in a strong position to secure victory,” said Salai Tin Mi on December 3. Military sources have yet to provide detailed information on casualties or the number of captured weapons.
From November 22 to November 30, the Chin National Revolutionary Army (CNRA), led by the Chin National Front (CNF) and allied forces, executed a coordinated offensive, capturing three military bases: Ruavazung, Umpupuaknak Tlang (located along the Hakha-Thanglang highway), and Nawncek Bo. According to CNF spokesman Salai Htet Ni, the operation resulted in the deaths of 20 military personnel, including a base commander, and the capture of 20 others. Additionally, 51 weapons and significant amounts of ammunition were seized.
“In total, we have captured 20 individuals, including one wounded, and seized 51 weapons along with a large stockpile of ammunition,” Salai Htet Ni reported on December 2.
Rebel forces have also extended their control to several towns across Chin State, including Matupi, Tun Zan, Khi Kha, Rid Khaw Dar, Lai Lin Pi, Kyin Dwe, Ma Kui Win Nu, Nyaung Rein, Re Zwa, Wai Bula, and Su Khwa. Additionally, the Arakan Army (AA) has taken control of Paletwa Township and Sami Town.
These developments underscore the escalating conflict in Chin State as rebel forces consolidate their hold over key areas.
